MultiModX was present at the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking Conference

MultiModX made its presence felt with a booth at the 2nd SESAR Annual Conference on October 10, 2023, in Brussels. This annual event holds significant importance within the SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) program in Europe.

The revised Master Plan, with sustainability as its core, aims to urgently decarbonize the aviation sector, aligning with Europe’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.

Magda Kopczynska, Director-General for Mobility and Transport at the European Commission, emphasized SESAR’s pivotal role in developing solutions to meet these objectives. She noted that SESAR is well-positioned following the successful SESAR 2020 program and the launch of SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking.

Raul Medina, Director-General of Eurocontrol, echoed the significance of SESAR as a hub for transformative ideas in aviation.

During the conference, SESAR, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, and Eurocontrol published a discussion paper to guide the update of the Master Plan.

The aviation industry expressed strong support for this campaign, highlighting its commitment to a shared roadmap for achieving the vision.

The conference also emphasized the urgency of deploying digital ATM solutions and the need for greater entrepreneurship and risk-taking within the industry.

More than 30 SESAR projects were showcased, covering various critical areas, from connected ATM to cyber security.

Andreas Boschen, Executive Director of SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking, concluded by expressing gratitude for contributions to the debate and called for ambition and compromise to advance towards a digital and environmentally friendly European sky.
